More Great Spaces opens an exciting new chapter at the Junior School, with the addition of our New Library. A bright, open space, the new library will look out to the playground. With comfy reading nooks, students will soon find their favourite spaces to curl up with a book and imagine. The donor Book Nook celebrates our love of reading and our appreciation of the value that books and learning bring to our lives — a vital part of every York student's journey.
Each book spine is customizable, allowing you to include your family's name, your child's name, or a personal message. The Book Nook will be crafted by a leading manufacturer of donor recognition signage using durable, high-end materials. The symbols on the ‘book’ spines will represent York’s Houses - Air, Fire, Earth and Water.
Existing major gift donors to the More Great Spaces campaign will be given a book to personalize in the Book Nook.
Books will be represented in one of five York School palette colours.
